ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR
CITY OF CIRCLEVILLE
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SERVICE
North Side Regional Trunk Sewer Project and Water Express Main
Sealed Bids addressed to the Director of Public Service, City of Circleville, 104 East Franklin Street, Circleville, Ohio 43113, for the North Side Regional Trunk Sewer Project and Water Express Main North (approximately 13,000 feet of sanitary sewer line and 9,400 feet of water line, together with the necessary appertaining work and dewatering) will be received by the City of Circleville, Department of Public Service until 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, February 1, 2007 and then and there publicly opened and read aloud.
Copies of the Contract Documents, Specifications, Wage Rates and Plans are on file with the City Clerk and Director of Public Service, where they are available for inspection. Plans may be picked up from the Director of Public Service at 104 East Franklin Street upon payment of $100.00, none of which will be refunded.
All proposals shall be made on standard forms furnished and all blanks must be properly filled in. No additional prices or qualifying clauses shall be written in. Prices for labor and materials shall be quoted separately.
The estimated cost of this project is $4,800,000.00.
No proposal will be allowed to be withdrawn for any reason after it has been deposited with the City. Each proposal must contain the full name and address of each person or company interested in the same.
A bond in the amount of 100% of the total amount of the bid; or a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit in the amount of 10% of the bid must accompany the proposal.
The City of Circleville reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Proposals, to waive any irregularities or informalities in the Bidding; and to choose the bidder who offers the lowest, most responsive, responsible Proposal.
If the proposal is accepted, a contract must be executed and a satisfactory Performance Bond furnished, conditioned according to law in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, within seven (7) days after notice of acceptance. Sureties on all bonds must be satisfactory to the City.
