Q: There is a building that appears to be dangerous. How do I report this?

A: If you see a structure that appears to be hazardous, please call the office and we will schedule the inspectors to check on it and to contact the owner of the structure.

Q: There is a house beside me that is in major disrepair or is an eyesore. What can I do?

A: Call our office and report the issues. We will follow up with a visit to the property.

Q: There may be illegal activity in a building. What should I do?

A: Call the local police department. If a life or death emergency, call 9-1-1.

Q: There are too many dogs living in a house. Who should I call?

A: Call either the local Humane Society or the Dog Warden's office. If you believe it is a health issue, call the Pickaway County Health Department - Environmental Health at 740/477-9667.

Q: Who do I call to find out if there is a permit to build on a property?

A: First, the local zoning office should be able to assist you. If it is within our jurisdiction, you may also call our office.
