You will need to be sure they are bonded and insured and have copies to confirm it. If you locate a contractor and they do not have the above items, request that they proceed to get them and show you proof at another time.

A: You can call our office and request to know if a specific business is registered, or you may come in to get a list of registered contractors. You will need to specify the type of contractor you are in need of.

A: The first thing to do if there are issues with your contractor(s) is to call them and request specific details from them. Usually, they will be willing to correct the issues for you. If that does not correct the problem, you may call our office and we will schedule a meeting between you and the Chief Building Official at the problem site.
